How do we hold onto the past, and still let go?

Alice Carpenter, a single mother in a small town, is forced to cope with the sudden loss of her only daughter, Lucy.  As Alice struggles to fill the void in her life, she becomes lost in her own memories and her daughter's possessions, especially Lucy's piano.

To make matters worse, Alice must also contend with Mr. Novatney, her crotchety neighbor who seems to care more for his rose bushes that the troubles of others.  A sincerely sweet and touching story about facing the unexpected hardships life sometimes throws our way.
