Even though the locals
stare at Matt's laptop computer like it's a UFO, he's
fitting in fine with his new African friends. One's
Jaimo, who's been nicknamed "elephant boy" by his father;
the other is Ellie, the baby African elephant who came to
this remote animal orphanage after her parents were killed
by poachers. When a wealthy American arrives to
purchase Ellie with a healthy check - one that will keep the
orphanage open - the boys turn their sadness into action and
escape with the two-ton baby. Now the three runaways
have everyone in a desperate panic. The American wants
his elephant and will stop at nothing to find her; Beverly
Cunningham just wants her son back; Jaimo wants to go home;
and Ellie can't find a herd to call home. Soon, the
trio are dodging poachers, police, lions, warriors, and
starvation on an adventure they will never forget.
Filmed on location in Kenya.
